That’s right! The GOP brought in the man of men… hope that doesn’t sound wrong. lol
Clint Eastwood was the mystery speaker last night and I was thrilled! He has long been my favorite actor and seeing him speak was great! Although he got mixed reviews by the media, I felt he did great. Afterall, look what side the media is usually on.
Clint was right on the money when he spoke of the issues at hand. He hit the nail on the head with just about everything he said. I’m in the mood for a Dirty Harry marathon, now! I want to sit down with some nice cold beer and watch all 5!
Seriously speaking, though. Who of you can remember a time in our country when we, as a nation, we this divided? How many of you can remember a time when even district judges spoke of possible civil war? How many of you remember a time when people were put in psychiatric treatment for voicing their opposition to official government positions?
In my lifetime, this is all a first. I’ve been following politics for a long time. I’ve always been pretty political and constantly delve into political debates with people, regularly angering them. I’ve heard people talk about civil war and injustices by our government for years, but this is the first time I’m hearing judges and political heavy hitters making mention of it.
To me it’s scary, but I have a solution that works for me. It has to do with Clint Eastwood. I know this will sound weird, but this is what I do. I think of how Josey Wales or Harry Callahan would handle such a situation.
Now, I know they’re just characters in movies, but that’s my thing. Think about it. You have an out-of-control situation and you have to act. How would Josey Wales handle it? Not just with shooting, but in general. Stays calm and cool, thinks his actions through, takes action as appropriate.
Keeping that in mind, I hope you’ll do the same.
